The Bird Bash and an Upcoming Parent Education Event

The future turns out to be something that you make instead of find.” –Lewis Lapham

I am excited to see many of you at Friday night's Bird Bash at Tresca on 8th. We have sold out for this event, and I am enthusiastic about the current pace of our online bidding. The funds raised by the Bird Bash will help to bring functionality and natural light to the cafeteria, one of our most used community spaces on campus. Even if you are not planning to attend, don’t forget to purchase tickets for the 101 Chances Raffle. Winners for the raffle will be chosen Friday night before the live auction.

Following Bird Bash, our staff will begin preparing for the VAIS visiting team for our ten-year accreditation. I will share more details about this visit and the team's findings once the accreditation is complete. Additionally, our Parents Association will also start sending information about an upcoming event in May for parent education. We will host a virtual event with an in-person viewing on May 2 with author Devorah Heitner to speak about her current book, Growing Up in Public: Coming of Age in a Digital World. Please be on the lookout for more details.
