VAIS Accreditation Visit Reminders

“When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.”  –Wayne Dyer

Last week’s Bird Bash Cafe Cardinal was amazing! I cannot thank our sponsors, the auction committee, and our faculty and staff enough. This was a huge undertaking, and I appreciate all the efforts of all involved to allow us to succeed. It was also a lot of fun, and I hope your feet have recovered from the dancing! Please check out the Bird Bash update on our website and enjoy the video shared the night of Bird Bash. I can’t wait to see the improvements in our cafeteria.

Beginning this weekend, we will host visitors on campus for our final visit for our ten-year accreditation study. We will reserve a few parking spots in the front lot for our visiting team on Monday and Tuesday, but it will not interfere with carpool or other day-to-day activities. The final report will not be available to us until later in the summer, and we will be sure to share highlights of the report with the full community in the fall.

As a reminder, we will have a half-day on Tuesday, April 23, to allow our faculty to attend one final meeting with the VAIS team and hear highlights of their findings. Dismissal will begin at 11:30 a.m. for grades K-4, followed by dismissal for grades 5-8 at 11:50 a.m. I encourage everyone to be mindful of the traffic that day because Garden Day will also be happening. This may cause traffic to be slower than usual as you approach campus. Spring parent conferences will be on Wednesday, April 24.
